I have a 143 kit, stock head, and vm26 on the way with a race head manifold.

Can I use the manifold with the stock head? I have a guy who builds SX motors and I was goin to have him port the stock head to match the race manifold. Will this work? Anyone else done this?

it should, I wanna say that head is stock with bigger valves installed

Thats what I thought too. So do you think I can just match the head to the manifold by porting it and it should be fine?

Is the race head that much better than a stock one ported?
