| Need help no spark!
Hey guys my buddy just bought a new motor with a tb 143 with v2 head and stroker crank. we are having some problems with spark. When we check for spark we only get one spark every 15 or so kicks.. not sure if its timing, coil, stator, or......? and help would be great....motor we just took out ran great and had spark. all connections are tight too

yes sounds very much like kill switch or ground wire is most likely your issue. Probably isnt your plug but check and see. try a different plug or better yet take the plug out and put it in another bike and see if it fires right up. Its probably ground issue

No wiring has changed since the original motor came out, since then we have ran stock motor, and a 143 in it no problems what so ever now new motor goes in and no spark at all unless you get lucky... Could it be timing we put timing mark on cam at TDC and it puts the timing mark on the fly wheel on the F position could this be the issue?

Hey guys this was my motor we were working on! WE FOUND THE PROBLEM THANK GOD!!!! Turns out that whole issue was the bump start switch, It was not disengaging while in neutral so we did the free bump start mod one kick and walllah spark put the plug in and she fires up everytime! Mind you we changed every component including coil, wires, ignition boxes and stator what a p.i.t.a. But in the end it really is a great thing i got it going! Thanks for all the help guys stash this in the memory bank for troubleshooting haha -Joe |
