can i use a stock length shock on a mx swinger?? like bbr, sano mx or reeg mx swingers????

The answer is "no", the spring and valving rates are different.

since most mx swingers are extended length (i.e. longer than the stock swingarm) it means any shock that is the same length as the stock rear shock will be too short - the rear end will sit lower, creating a "chopper" problem. Most folks match their rear shock and swingarm together - the swingarm manufacturers recommend shocks that work well with their swingarms.

| Re: shock and swinger question?????? This is why you can't believe everything you read on here. Look where the leverage points are on an A-style swingarm, now look where they are on a mono-style swingarm. You can't use a shock designed for a stock-style swingarm. |
