Angry Stupid kawasaki dealer

okay so i was buying a new 110 at from kawasaki , the guy was like yeah we just gotta get it ready for you , do the oil, fuel etc.
after about an half hour it was all "done"
the guy shut off the fuel and rode it around for about 5 mins to let it bog out
we put in the back of the car and went home
when i got home started it up all it ran fine and i went for like a 5 minute ride
the outta curiosity i checked the oil to find that there was pretty much nothing in there besides just enough to cover the parts!!!!!!!!!!

will the bike still be okay ?

Re: Stupid kawasaki dealer

put oil in it. it should still be good. a customer came to me saying he ran his bike for 30 minutes with about the same amount of oil. he just needed a new clutch. so if u top off the oil, you should be good.

Sounds like your typical dealer. I would never trust my bikes in a dealer's hands.

Re: Stupid kawasaki dealer

You need to contact the dealer, and get it in writing that they did not fill the oil properly. If your motor blows while still relatively new, that will help you get Kawasaki to warranty it. Other than that, I would let them top it off, you check it and then ride the hell out of it.

Wait, are you looking through the little glass on the clutch cover? Or are you looking through the oil cap hole on top of the clutch cover? The oil line should be almost to the top of that window. You shouldn't see oil from the top hole where the oil fill cap goes.

Re: Stupid kawasaki dealer

As John SBA said, I would take the bike back to the dealer before you do anything, and notify them they didn't fill the bike up with the proper amount of oil. Get it down in some form of writing. You never know what kind of damage could of happen inside. Better be safe than sorry.
