Do you have the little plunger in the clutch basket bearing and the one on the cover side?

i've never installed a tak cable clutch setup, but i'm guessing the part you have left over goes on the THROWOUT BEARING. its the bearing on the outer clutch plate... i'm guessing it goes between the engine cover and the clutch. klx clutches use a push open style setup, the outer clutch cover has the bearing on it which gets pushed open by some type of a system (either hydro or cable/cam) with everything, if you have parts left over you forgot something.. they don't give you extra one off pieces just for the hell of it.. good luck |

you put that piece , or a thermostat they sell in the cover, if you are running an oil cooler off the lines on the clutch cover

first.. did you install the plunger piece to the right of the aluminum piece in the pic into the clutch cover itself? cause I am pretty sure that is where it goes and not into the clutch basket. but I could be wrong. 2nd are you sure you have the clutch plates installed in the basket correct? that could be your problem also. sometimes its easier to install plates in the inner and outer hub , then put 2 spings on to hold it together before you install into the basket. hope that makes sence. if you cant figure it out pm me tomorrow ill give you my number and walk you through it.
