TBR Crank Failure

Anyone ever had any trouble with TBR's stroker crank? I just had the rod bearing lock up after 5 minutes. Yes there was oil in the motor.. Ha Ha..

Crystal ball is a little cloudy. So what all did it destroy?

re: TBR Crank Failure

Nothing really except the crank. The rod bearing seized. The piston and the valve train are unharmed. I ran it on the stand with a fan on it 3 times for ten minutes each then rode it easy for maybe 5 minutes till the rear wheel locked up. What does your crystal ball say about that?
Just wondering if anyone has ever heard if this happening to a TBR stroker in the past?

re: TBR Crank Failure

was there oil in the lower tappet cover when you removed it?......sounds like a bad crank bearing if the pump was doing its job.

Yes.. The motor was oiled through-out.. Any idea if TBR would stand behind it? I ordered it through Tucker Rocky.

For BBR's sake can you delete this thread then re-post this thread with the correct title, that way BBR doesn't get thrown under the bus for something that they didn't do! LOL

re: TBR Crank Failure

i doubt they will stand by it TBR is a bunch of tools. I asked them about super head pistons and they didnt even know what i was talking about. A buddy of mines broke the bottom off of the rod (so where it connects to the crank) and went through his cases, it was insane. So not the first time i heard of them failing.
