would 1000 pound spring be good on a rear shock

if i weigh 180ish would i be good using a 1000 lb. spring or would i need the 1200 for my mx style swing arm?

depends on what swinger and the leverage ratio, i had a pitster x4r with the 100lbs spring. it worked very well, and i weight up to 200 lbs for a lil bit

i have the sano mx swinger. i dont know what the leverage is. they use the F-8 ishock but i dont now what spring weight they use. . the shock comes in 800, 1000, and 1200 springs

im 130-140 and i run the 1000 on my elka its set up for motocross/big jump styles, hopes this helps!!

what type of riding are you goin to be doing?

o yea i run the bbr style set up super comp. rear/ zoke frontend, you need to tell what suspension mods you have on your bike also***

i run the old style zokes and im goin to be using it for racing. . i plan on racing the mini moto sx in 2010. but i would like to do some good outdoor events

best bet would be to call sano and talk to them. they should have an idea about spring rates vs peoples weight.
