alright,My friend just bought a 2009 YZ125 right outta the showroom. He did the correct way of breaking in the bike and the dealer did the fluids. He had a ride on it. maybe about 3 hours? and his clutch started to slip. The lever has no play and its adjusted all the way in. Im usually good at working on clutches but this really stumped me. I took off his cover and his fibers were new he had no grooves on his baskets or hubs. But, his steel plates were black. How can only the steels be shot? PLEASE help.

not trying to be a jerk...but......have you pulled back the rubber on the cable? there is a lot adjustment to be made on the cable vice the lever...
sometimes those lock nuts will viberate loose....
