On Sunday, September 27, Kyle Anderson of Rapid City, MI caught this 50-pound 8-ounce Great Lakes muskie. The fish is now the new Michigan state record. It beat the old record, set in 1984, by 2.5 pounds. Anderson was fishing in Torch Lake, near Traverse City.

Yes, but they have alot of bones. Not sure how a old one like that would taste.

A fish of that size (age) would not taste the greatest. Chances are you have been in a lake with fish just as big but you've never thought of it. Michigan is not the only place big old fish live. |

I used to dive for muscle shells in the Tennessee river....I have seen some catfish in it that could make this Muskie look like a minnow....Some so big they never move anymore. They just lay on the bottom open their mouths and let the current bring them their meals.

I might have to try that, after Bombs passes. Sumbitch gets half of the stuff I TRY to eat.

Chase I think he was refering to laying on the bottom and letting the current feed him...lmao Better have a big boat to take him out on..and not sure how his balance is either so make sure he has his arm floatys on.... |
