My Mood: | drive safe guys!
2 weeks ago I was in a horrible car crash with my friend. My friend was driving and lost control. We hit a tree stump doing about 60, and the car rolled twice and into a wooden fence. A fence post went through the window and impaled my arm. I almost lost my life. Luckily, I survived, and they didn't have to amputate my arm. But, it's really messed up and will need a lot of recovery time. I also have absolutely no feeling in my arm, but fortunately I can move everything including my fingers normally so that's giving me a lot of hope. I'm hoping I'll be able to ride pitbikes again, but there's no way I can do that anytime soon. Here's some pics and don't forget to wear your seatbelts! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

That looks like it was one hell of a crash. Hope you recover well. Not only be safe out on the road, but use good common sense when we all are on two wheels as well. It only takes a split second to end your life and or be disabled for life if your not using your noggin. Be safe out there so you can go home to your families at the end of the day and not the ER or worse the Morg. |

He got a little better off than I did. He got a pretty bad concussion with deep gouges and cuts all over his head, even his eyelids had to get stitches. He can't remember any of it, but I can remember everything probably because I didn't get any head injuries. We both got flown to the hospital in a helicopter. All in all we are both doing pretty good considering what we went through. Last edited by caseclosed715; 10-28-2009 at 07:42 PM. |

Yep that is (or was) a Del Sol. Not much left of it after that crash. The top was even off of the car when we crashed it so we are lucky to have been wearing seat belts or else there is no way we would have survived. I know what you're saying man we weren't even messing around, just cruising a back road and before we knew it everything got turned upside down in a few seconds. We had gotten away with driving like reckless idiots plenty of times, but it only takes one time. Thanks again guys, everything has been going well with my arm. The doctors are very pleased with how it's been healing. They were really worried I wouldn't have any motor skills in my hand because of nerve damage. Aside from not having any feeling I can use everything normally. |

Thanks again for all the kind words everyone. I knew someone was gonna ask lol. The helicopter ride was pretty cool even though I couldn't look out the window because I was laying on a stretcher. At one point they hooked an IV up to me and I said to one of the EMS guys "am I dying? I feel so good all of a sudden." And then the EMS guy said "nope, we just sent some morphine through your IV" to which I replied "that's some good stuff!" Hahaha so yes the helicopter ride was awesome to answer your question. |
