Went for a walk around campus. give me some tips. I'm using a canon powershot sx10 is. basically a glorified point and shoot. I have photoshop so if you have any tips on how to retouch them let me know

They look good, excelent for your first attempt. Not all of them show up for me though.

3rd pic down is real good.
Keep shooting that location, change angles, time of day, things like that.
