Well now I'm looking for work like the rest of America it seems like. If any one knows of a shop looking for help, long term short term, please let me know. In case anyone asks, I'm the guy that used to own Skunkwerx, I'm sure some of my work is running around here on this site. lol

Sorry to hear it! What kind of work do you do?

I'm a mechanical engineer. I got laid off in January and found a contract position a month later. That contract expires this Friday!

The money issue is important obviously, but at least unemployment helps. But my main concern is that I am a post-heart transplant patient so I NEED insurance to cover my meds. Medicine is so ****ing ridiculous. I take about 20 pills each day and just one of these pills, of which I take 6 each day, is $1,500 for a 30 day supply!!! Who can afford that? And there's no help for me because I make more than the poverty level.

Well I'm a machinist by trade, and like I said I was the owner of skunkwerx so i do design work too.
I hear you on the meds, my dad had a heart attack and several other complications to go along with that, so he to consumes a bucket of pills every day.
I'm sure you'll find something soon, you college boys always get by lol.

i wish i had got laid off rather than the BS i had to go through and still going through when i found out i didnt have a job!
long story and dont want to rant but my ex boss owes me $4500 andi almost lost my $20000 bus
