In memory tattoo...help.

Well, I'm sure most of you have heard about my buddy that passed away on his dirtbike.

I want to get an "in memory" tattoo for him but I just cannot decide on what to get. He has been my best friend since I was 2 years old and we never stopped. So I felt a tattoo in his remembrance was necessary.

He has always had honda bikes, atv's, everything. He had a CR250 that ripped! That's what he passed away on, he wrecked riding it home from work on the sidewalk. But he loved his bike. He never went to the track because none of his friends that rode big bikes were brave enough to go. He had a big ass field behind his house he rode in almost everyday and had some sweet jumps he would air out.

I have toyed with a few ideas, but just can't seem to find anything that just hits the nail on the head ya know?

My ideas so far have been:
-Honda logo, and at the bottom have it fade into a ribbon that has "In memory...etc"
-His helmet, and possibly get "Archer" (his last name) put on the back like the Helmet ID stickers.
-Dirtbike tire tread
-Just a fancy cursive font with a nice design to it

If I do the helmet I kind of like the view in the top left.

or maybe that one...

Man I don't know. I'm really confused. What do you guys think? Help me out here...

Re: In memory tattoo...help.

Honda has a patent on their logo and while I really doubt they would go after you for a Honda emblem on your body, they can go after the tattoo artist.
Honda went after CHP for a countershaft sprocket cover they made for a CRF150R so you never know.

As for a tattoo, get something that mostly reminds you of him. Nothing gawdy, just something plain and simple that you think he would think was kewl.

What would you do if roles where reversed? What would you want him to do?

my .02 cents.

You have a picture of that? Not a bad idea.

yeah its really just a terrible thing. my friend hadn't even graduated high school. what made me more mad is that it was some old elderly lady that killed him. it's not like me to say this or necesarrily the right thing to say but she lived a life and he didn't get a chance to seems like the tables should've been the other way around.
