I want to take my son to a Supercross this year and would like to hear your opinions as to which event is best.

I was thinking a 3 day trip to the Vegas finale so we could see the minimoto race as well but am not sure that Vegas is the best place for him...yet. It would also be the most expensive due to the travel but we would get to see a lot of racing. Where in Vegas is the best place to stay to see both the races and not pollute the kids mind?

Atlanta and Indy are my second and third choices but what else is going on in these cities at the same time as SX and where to stay.

This will be his 9th B-Day present and I know he will flip his lid, and I just want to do it right.

skip supercross and find a local fmx event. everyone loves seeing people flipping throuch the air and doing tricks! i know i wen to one with fmx east this past year and loved it. got to see a few young guns like jack rowe and his brother. and it was a blast!

vegas is a great places for kids, it is not the same vegas as ten years ago. just like anywhere you go, as a parent you can decide what is best for your kid, but vegas has developed into more family /tourist that the name sin city implies, there are plenty of fun kid oriented stuff. as you mentioned, hit the minimoto then the final round of supercross with the east vs west shootout ! best bang for your buck.

I would take him to vegas yeah its going to be a little more exspensive but you will get to see mini moto and east west shootout. I go to the indy and thers not much to do in the town besides watch the race

I think it will be Vegas. Like said the amount of racing will be worth the extra money, plus I want him to see the Hover Dam and take the Damm tour! He likes that kind of stuff.

We have been to several FMX events and they are cool but when we went to Budd's Creek and he saw RC (waved at him) and CR and all the others in person he was in total awe.

Now for where to stay in Vegas and where to get tickets and where in Sam Boyd Stadium to sit....? Any one been there have any advice?

Top middle was a great spot for us!!

take him to minimoto in vegas!!! haha then hit up the vegas supercross the next day/ day before like they had it last year

if you go to Sam Boyd DO NOT sit on the very top section, they are like normal high school bleachers up there and they are pushed back from the edge. i prefer sitting high because you can see what racers are where. sitting low you cannot see anything but the straight in front of you and riders in the air on all other lanes. it sucks low
