The just-a-little-smaller brother of the 192 is now (*) available at FPM. V2 head, 28mm carb on the trick new rear-facing intake, and a completely gone through needle bearing YX160. Remote oil filter, 6-disk clutch, ignition modded for easier starting and max power. Actual timing light used, even

Everything gets stripped bare, inspected, and carefully assembled. Engines will be test run through the gears, heat cycled, drained and shipped to the buyer.

$1150 shipped (48 states), for a custom built killer.

*I'm booking bench time for mid-September, right now, but have one 184 I can ship late next week.

Re: 184 Firepower Crate Motor

Nope, and I won't likely do so...

Without duplicating the exact installed scenario, like pipe, carb, jetting, fuel, air conditions, filter, etc, it's just a number. It's a proven combo, with a nice broad torque curve. You won't likely be pulling the end off throttle cables with this one

Re: 184 Firepower Crate Motor

Minor difference in feel, with the 184 coming on a little softer (like getting hit with a baseball bat instead of a lead pipe...) Otherwise, very similar power. 192 has more compression and takes a little more boot sole to fire up. 222 is gonna have to be bumped.lol

Re: 184 Firepower Crate Motor

You can drop as small as 125, or up to 201, without splitting the cases. Different jugs. I just like the 178/184/192 versions best.

The 184 can not be bored further, it needs a jug swap. The 192 can be bored to 66mm (195) for an available piston.
