Now that they're "official" and available from your favorite TB dealers( and me too

), I'll say that we've been running them, on several different combos, on several continents, for a while now, and the results are IMPRESSIVE! We've juggled some special combo's as well as run them off-the-rack. Ported and stock. Cam tests, etc.

At this point, a 54mm piston is the only TB one available, but i can do some different setups for guys wanting to go a different direction.

Oh, and the piston is nearly 20 grams lighter than the old 312, for higher revs. It can be used on the older race heads and e22, with some mild FP massaging, to have HUGE compression

new head looks good. I might have to upgrade after my top end dies! How much would it be to upgrade to the new head? Im assuming I would need the head psiton/rings, is the cam different too?

and what power improvements are we looking at over the last 117 kit?

How about a complete 124cc package with a new TB 30/23.5 head, matching piston, 54x69 cylinder, cam, gaskets, studs, cam chain, VM26 with manifold, and a good used Kitaco 54mm stroker crank, for the same $575 as the 117cc kit? One only. For now

Is the 30mm head specifically made for the 50 engine or is it the Lifan BVH style that just so happens to still work on a 50 stud pattern? I may need to pick one of these up. Although I do still have the takegawa twin spark super head that just needs valve seats cut. I hate when I see stuff I want hahah.

It is drilled specifically for the Honda pattern, but seems to be the same casting as the Lifan type TB head.

Wow that is absolutely awesome. 30mm is just crazy talk about some flow, you should post up some photos of a re worked intake and exhaust ports.

I have one on the bench right now, with a few races on it and ready for a freshen-up, and a little port work.

This one's for a big stroker Lifan, so it won't look like the 117cc version. That gets real special grinder bits that add 5mm to the floor
