My Mood: | 10" tires suggestion for indoor motard
what would the best tire be for: indoor, very smooth, cold, well lubed concrete. my bike is a xr50 framed, stock 1.40 rims,108cc TB race head motor, chp +2 swinger,+1 chromo lower legs hd sprung forks. People here are running the cheap scooter tires with good results (IRC mB38, kenda, etc.) but i am looking for something with a little more traction any suggestion appreciated see pic here:http://www.mnsportbikeriders.com/for...1233335776.jpg Last edited by mnmcnut; 02-10-2009 at 11:53 PM. |

Maybe distorted from that angle. with +1" legs and heavy springs it sits a little taller in the front than I would like. I plan to remove another 1" to get the steering angle at 23'. now it is at 25'. The plus 2 swinger makes up for some height. It really measures about 3" longer than stock. never measured height. It has a 270 mm shock

Sava's are the way to go..... But with these forks I doubt if you're gonna profit from them. Great tyres only work great when the suspension keeps them on the ground....... But on the other hand; if the concrete is as smooth as you say; give it a try...... |

since you mentioned cold why not buy some tire warmers, and just run the same cheap tires as everyone else?

We run indoors every 2 weeks. The best for cheap are Pirelli SL26s. The 10' Bridgestone Battlax works the best, IMHO, but they cost about 2x as much as the SL26s.

| Re: 10" tires suggestion for indoor motard Tyresoftener.com/ Have used it once in my life/racingcareer; on the tyres of my Mini (pocket)bike during a race for our Nat. Championships Series. I've never crashed so often and so hard during practice. Seemed that I couldn't get enough heat into the tyres.... ![]() Emptied a whole can of Brakecleaner onto the tyres to get rid of the softener but to no avail; had to throw them away. Not many points for me that day..... Works great on race-Go-kart tyres; not on minibike tyres. Last edited by 76 VETTE; 02-11-2009 at 01:44 PM. |

i take it the c161 is the stickiest, but what are the differences between the c161,c186 and c174? will the 3.50X10 (only size) fit on my front and rear? i am running 2.75 front and 3.00 X10 rear now
