Re: Aug 8th racing Michigan

Insurance requires humans in a pit area at race tracks to sign a wavier........ that costs money...... We use nkaonline.com your more than welcome to cover our insurance costs I'm sure they will give you a special deal cause you have a pitbike

Track owners and race promoters have to cover costs, usually that means the racers and others in attendance cover those costs. Its like a business where somebody has to pay to get a service or a product.

I guess if you want to own a race track and or own a race series your more than welcome to let everyone come race for free, oh its Michigan and we have no money

We are just racing and having a good time doing it

Check out all the motorcycle racing clubs and tracks in America they all charge people to ride etc....

Re: Aug 8th racing Michigan

Well go ride in your back yard or the yard behind the empty house next door that is in REPO

Its tough no doubt..........

There is an event at Jackson Speedway Tuesday the 18th from 6-10pm that is a DONATION only event.......... Got gas money? Maybe have your older sister drive you to the track in her boy friends dad's car?

What can I say, those that can race should be out racing, if all you can manage is parking lots go for it, just please don't whine about people racing for a very reasonable cost. Compare the mini racing cost to EVERY other club in America.

SEMRA
NJMINIGP
Oklahomasuperbikers
TMGP
NWGP
FLAMRUSMGP
CAMRA
CMRA
OHIOYSR

You'll find all those clubs cost up to 2-3 times what MIMRA charges per event oh and you'd have a minimum of a 4 hour drive just to get to OYL then add on another 4-5 hours to get to NWGP or NJMINIGP..........

Common boys its a big world out here.

Hey Teddy does your series have a website our forum or anything where one can find classes, rules, schedule etc... Or do should I just troll through your posts to find the info?

Re: Aug 8th racing Michigan

Ahhhhhhhhh the venerable C Boogie.........

yes a web site is coming

yes you mgiht have to troll through the threads

Palmyra Speedway - Where Young Stars Learn to Shine! - Let's go Racing has all our details for rules and class structure.

Sorry MIMRA is not so high speed as NWGP

Its not like a person cannot email or pm or ask for specifics.

MIMRA is fairly laid back and NOT into points, we are about getting people on tracks, very safety minded, very into keeping motorcycling about fun and YOUTH. Some of our crew is very much in the industry and has a handle on our mission.

Sorry to have offended any other MiniGP clubs

Re: Aug 8th racing Michigan

Oh no offense taking at all.. I was actually gonna try and attend one of your events and wanted to see which one if any did not conflict with our schedule.

I'm all about growing the sport and helping support other clubs hense the reason why I would be willing to travel to your series.

So the next race is on the 12th then? If there another after that at a different venue? We have a race at Road America on the 12th-13th so that one is out.

Re: Aug 8th racing Michigan

Well Sept 12th is the very last race and I would not want anyone to travel 4+ hours to race at our little "roller derby" like track......... Now Jackson is different.

We should have most of our 2010 schedule done by mid January.

Planning on 3 Saturday practice dates at Palmyra, 4 sprint events on Sundays bikes only, 3 race dates at Jackson ALL will have 1-2 hour endurance, 1 Sprint date at G&J Kartway Ohio with and 2 hour endurance.

Gotta get to making Longboards......... much sanding and forming

Re: Aug 8th racing Michigan

Well the drive is not a problem.. I travel 3+ Hrs as is to most of the tracks in our series. But I tell ya what the drive is well worth is.

Hopefully our schedules do not conflict next year I would like to make one of the events.
