Got the LXR ready

Got the new LXR ready for some SuperMoto action. With a little spacer engineering the X4 wheels fit. Doing a test and tune at the track to get the suspension sorted out.

The bikes profile looks good on slicks....I'd say you can ditch the mudflaps for the asphalt....

Re: Got the LXR ready

Our dirt section get muddy sometimes and they treat it with mag/chloride to keep it packed. I'm debating pulling them or not. Probably will. Gotta figure out how far I want to drop the triples... I had as much fork out the top of the trips as I could on the X4.

Look's good! Check out Pitsters link's for raising or lowering the back end if you need to change your head angle more. And i do believe there are flat top triple clamps out there from earlier models. You got lots of Nice toy's to play with, good job,and the woman rides, sweet.

What did you use for bolts for the rear disk rotor? Did you counter bore the disk mounting holes to get enoungh clearance?

No, I hit the little nub that sticks out on the caliper with my Dremel. Then a real thin washer between the caliper and mount to keep them from dragging. Works perfect.

Hey trackstar, what kind of pipe is that and are you using the stock carb? If so, what is your elevation and what main jet are you running with your pipe? Will you be running a K&N filter as well?

Re: Got the LXR ready

Pro Circuit KLX can with the stock header modified to fit it. Sounds kick ass. Running the stock MOLKT carb with airbox and the stock jetting. I'm at 4600 feet.

It runs really strong and I didnt have to touch a thing on the carb. I'm not going to mess with it if I dont have to so I dont know what the stock jetting is. I'll keep the airbox for now. I like the clean look and it has plenty of power.

I'm not going to do any mods to the motor unless I have to. As long as I win my races theres no reason to. I never touched the 160 in my X4 either and ran it a full year with zero mechanical issues. I've always believed that for a race machine, if your chasing Points Championships, do only as much as you need to win. Anything else is overkill and your usually lowering the durability of the motor. Winning every race by 1 second is better than winning all but 1 by 10 seconds and getting a DNF cuz you blew the motor.

Michelin Boppers. I have the Dunlop TT's on the NSR, trying to decide which I like better. I like the Boppers profile on the SM wheels way better right now. Dragging peg and still have chicken strips.
