Just starting a thread for everyone to share there stories and pics. There were plenty of camera's out, even in the rain so lets see what you got! ![]() I was a little nervous in the morning with the steady mist for the kids sake but was quickly sweating bullets as Matt and I led the little guys onto the track for there first time in a full on rain storm ! Much to my surprise they all did great and we only had a few incidents. 4 straight rain sessions for the little guys and everyone survived. Hell they were moving and keeping up with them on the Ruckus was a task, I was stepping the back out on every corner just to keep pace with the rascals!Once the rain let up and the drying truck did it's job it was on! They all followed directions well and learned the lines from the coaches and after that keeping up on the Ruckus was no longer an option and the kids were flying. Great job to all of them!!! ![]() My son had an absolute blast and must of asked me 10 times on the short ride home when the next track day was before passing out cold 5 miles from home. He is really excited about the racing and feeds off the competition and had a blast running with Ryan on the 50, they were moving at a pretty good pace!As for the adults I think the anticipation of running on the dry was a little to hard to contain once the rain let up and more than a few went down (5 in one session in the same spot) with Ryan's high side being the " Crash Of The Day" ! Glad your OK but I bet your a little sore today, it was quite a get off. The Stumps were railing both in the rain and on the dry. I look forward to those days with my son. I'm going to be as tough on him as old man Stump cause that kid of his sure can ride !Great job by all the NJ MiniGP staff on putting on such a great event at such a fantastic facility. I still cant believe this place exists and so close to boot!Oh and Ryan were gonna have to have a 50 rematch next time or every time till I finally get around you and stay there with out going down. I was not riding my bike, just coaching the kids class. I'll be on the 65 next round though. The knee feels great and the DR should clear me on the 6th. |
