Re: Pitsterpro X2R minimotard

Did some training on tuesday but it ended with a flat front tyre.
too bad because it all went very well untill the inner tube tore near the valve

Maybe there is an update comming , a brembo 2 piston front caliper
But I got lots of problems by getting the air out of the brake system

as you can see , this bike is always in update so stay tuned !

nice bike.

as far as bleeding the brakes, tie the front brake lever down overnight with a zip tie or worm clamp. it will be air free by the next day.

Re: Pitsterpro X2R minimotard

@ Duckboy : You can go to spa if you want , but it's already freezing in Belgium overnight so i don't recommend a trip to Spa these days

some news about the brakes : I got a little bit of pressure on the pistons now , but it's possible that i can use a vacuum pump to suck the air out of the system on wednesday , we'll see

Re: Pitsterpro X2R minimotard

I took some pics of the brembo brake caliper when its mounted on the bike :

now i got a little bit of brake power , but with the original master cylinder it's still useless
next up will be a master cylinder who delivers a bit more brake power

Re: Pitsterpro X2R minimotard

Wytze --

I raced my X2R for a season...what gearing are you running?

I had a few issues road racing mine:

1. finding the right gearing
2. Downshifting would always miss second or false neutral all the time
3. had issues with the tubes in the tires sheering valve stems...

Curious if you have seen similar issues and how you addressed?

***edit***

The bike is great in the dirt...I just never found the sweet spot to road race it another season, so went back to racing my NSR.

Re: Pitsterpro X2R minimotard

@Latency :

Now I'm running a 14/35 gearing for my local training track
for other tracks I'm not changing anything
on the training track i only use 2nd and 3rd gear ,
for tracks like spa francorchamps i'm also using 14/35 but my 2nd , 3rd and 4th gear

I've never had problems getting my bike into 2nd of neutral
but it has a solution , you can adjust something on your shift drum at the clutch side of the engine

and with the inner tubes i've never had issues untill past tuesday , a solution can be a rim-lock so your inner tube can't move anymore
normaly a rim lock is only for the rear wheel but it can be a solution for both wheels

I hope that i'ts a bit clear for you because my english isn't always what it should be ..
