Problem Installing AHP 4 Speed Tranny

My mechanic is installing an AHP 4 speed tranny for me and says it only shifts into two gears at one (which of course is bad). He is suspicious because it comes pre-assembled.

I have only heard good things about it, thats why I got it.

Anyone else have problems with this kit?

Shift drums are wonky. Mark knows, and is scrambling to take care of the customers who got one from this latest batch. He'll have it straight, soon.

The new shift drum arrived on Tues. It works fine.

bet that was a head ache! I have a ahp 4 speed in one of my bikes I bought a while ago and it performs flawlessly. Why would they change it if it was flawless to begin with?

We didn't change anything, we just had a batch of shift drums that were not correct and had to be replaced. All is taken care of now, took about a week to get new ones to everyone.

Yes. As a matter of record, AHP worked as fast as they could to take care of me.

No drama.

Problem solved.

Thanks Mark.
