Wondering if there are any az riders interested in doing a Crown King run this coming Sat or Sun. Ran up there last weekend and it was a blast. My riding buddy can't go again this weekend, and it may be one of the last nice/warm weather weekends up there, so I thought I'd try to rally a crew.

For those that aren't familiar with Crown, its a little mining town in the mountains just north of Black Canyon City off I-17. The parking spot is 45 min or so from Phoenix. Starting there it's a 25 mile run up the mountain to the town, and from there there are lots of sweet trails including one to a small lake (horsethief lake I think). Not to mention there is an old tavern in town that we can grab a beer at. Weather is looking like sunny w/ a high of 65 so it should be nice. I can make it up and down on a full tank (barely), so I usually carry a little extra gas. Anyone interested in going out, let me know. Would be fun for a big group, but even 2 or 3 of us would be great. I have some pictures of a few other trips up there and they are at the link below. Check em out!

looks like a fun trail! is it 25 miles round trip or one way? I can barely get 25 miles on a full tank.

its 25 miles one way, and if I'm really charging, i'll about kill a tank on the way up... but when im just cruising, i can almost make it there and back. either way, I usually carry two liters or so of gas
