| Carb jetting/Molk 155z motor
I bought a LXR and have a problem with the motor bogging when chopping the throttle of the face of a jump. It also bogs when I land, I know the motor is lean and have tried every jet I own. Changed out the CDI's, coil, tried a different Molk carborator with little improvement. Tried a Keihin PE 28mm carb. I have two of these bikes and they both have the same problem. Any suggestions?

Pitster had to send me a new carb...some had a flaw in the casting and no matter what you do it wont be right. Now you tried the Keihin carb and it still didnt work....have you checked to ensure your valves were in spec? and make sure you are not a tooth off on the timing...other than that I am drawing a blank.

Make sure your float height is set so that the molding line on the side of the floats is level with the carb body. Mine was way off out of the box. This generally fixes the landing bog. I have been having a different problem with my Molkt and Pitster is sending me a new one also. |
