| Heat range for spark plugs in big bore engines??
Hey guys I run a 8 heat range in my takegawa 124 engines but I wasnt sure about these big engines (177cc and up). Do you guys run a 7 or an 8.. It is going to be used for road racing if that makes any difference..

I've been running 8's, sometimes 9's? I haven't run anything larger than a 151cc mill though.

The bigger the # the cooler the plug runs... So you are helping it stay a little cooler with the higher #plug is all.. You wouldnt notice a difference in performance just being a little easier on the engine is all.. And here in NC its in the 90s most of the summer... |
