Inner Rotor Kit???

im looking into buying a inner rotor kit for my ssr 125...is there a decent diffrence in power or does it just rev alil quciker...also the wiring looks simple..do u need a flywheel puller to install this kit or is there a way around that...ive done alil research but all ive seen its it revs quicker...just seeing if there are any other plus's about this kit...thanks guys

I like it, make the bike real snappy and revs are way quicker, just need to learn to do some fancy clutch work. I/ve heard of some guys just losening the flywheel nut then starting the engine and just letting the flywheel fall off but idk what the chance of damaging anything are.

Re: Inner Rotor Kit???

invest in a flywheel puller, they are cheap. If your a big guy like me the IRK will kill your ability to lug the motor at a low rpm. You'll be doing alot more clutch work.

I have fond that a chevrolet pitman arm puller will work to pull off a interroter fly wheel.

Re: Inner Rotor Kit???

my inner rotor kit came apart after 4 days im still waiting on replacement it makes a world of difference with my open aftermarket exhaust and 88cc kit it will dump you on your butt in first gear if u dont watch it wheelies instantly as you rip on the throttle id recomend it to anyone who want crazy fun and more power and dont pour race gas in thinking it gives more power it only hurts the power i run mid grade pump gas and mine has beat all my friends 107cc bikes but it could be the rider as well

If you are into trail riding an irk is just opposite of what you want. It just makes your engine more nervous, not more powerfull.

I put a 17 tooth on my 140, 1st gear is still pretty useless

Re: Inner Rotor Kit???

but going up on the front sprocket makes it a taller gear correct...on my streetbike when i drag raced i went down teeth in front and up teeth in the rear gave me a lower gear...yal are saying use a 17 front..thats going to make the tranny very long winded...i dont even get a chance to get into 4th as it is and i play around in a pretty big area...maybe i need to put a 165 kit on my 125 for my weight!!!
