| Lifan 125 mods? v. noob
Alright, so I have a Lifan 125, and of course, I want to mod it. I have a Pro Circuit T4 on the way, and I want to get some more top end power and some more over-rev. I know that a cam is the answer, but which one? I found one that looks like it might work, a Hot Cams Stage 2. Will this be a step up? My concern is that most parts are designed for 50 and 88cc engines, not chinese 125's. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

It depends... There are several different Lifan 125's, some more suited to performance builds than others. Trans? Clutch? Head?

Well, I'm limited to 125cc's, so going bigger is out. As for the head, clutch, etc. I have no idea. The trans is 1d3u. Are there any identifying marks I should be looking for?

Pics would be fastest. Valve caps screw in or have two bolts? Clutch arm in the front, or top rear of the clutch cover?

My Mood: | Re: Lifan 125 mods? v. noob no no the carb, the carb is to small you need a bigger carb to let more air in the combustion chamber other wise your wasting money on a cam casue you can't feed it enough gas and air, i have made this mistake my self.

I already put a bigger carb on it, a $40 ebay special, but it helped soo much, but it's still chinese crapperware. I was looking @ a 28mm Mikuni, but $300+ is a bit steep right now. FML | |
