Got this motor (Lifan 150 N1234 shift pattern) about 3-4 months ago and been having tranny issues. Shift fork for some reason keeps grinding against the 3rd gear counter shaft. Motor stopped shifting into 3rd gear 2months after I got it. Tore it apart and the shift fork was ate up and the counter shaft had heat marks. One of the dogs was broken off on the countershaft and the others were rounded on one side (This is only the 3rd gear counter shaft). Hence why the bike wouldn't shift into 3rd. All the rest look brand new still. Bought another tranny and replaced the whole tranny and after one ride and checking the oil I find shavings on the magnetic plug again. This is similar to the 1st issue so I'm more than sure the problem occuring again. I have to pull the motor out anyway to put on a TB race head but gonna go back into the tranny to try and figure this thing out. I have yet to see anywhere here in the forums where anyone is having issues like this with their Lifan. What could this possibly be? Thanx!

Man... No suggestions

. I think I may have it figured out. Gonna add an extra shim to the right side of the primary drive shaft as it had some free play in it. Being the left side is the only side of the shift fork that's getting ate up (If ur looking at the motor from the rear left hand side) that should do the trick. Still open for suggestions though

I'm having issues with my lifan 150 right now. Waiting for my flywheel puller and clutch tool to come in to tear it down and see whats up. Where did you buy your new tranny from? Thanks
