| Mikuni 24mm with 110cc
Hi, would this carb work on a 110cc, and if so what jets? Stock this is what i got, but it's not working, spark plug is black and the idle is too high, 3000rpm. Last edited by Stomper; 02-10-2009 at 06:05 AM. |

Can't tell which carb that is so don't really know which way to tell you to go. Based on what you say, I would go to a 17.5 pilot or 20 and drop the main down to a 80. |

Idles that high you have something wrong...wrong needle. slide not seating or an air leak. That looks like the Chinese Mikuni 22mm carb.

On a full blown 110 racing setup, I onced used a tm24 flatslide. I jetted 17.5/150. This was intake, porting, pipe, cam, and a high compression setup with stroker.

I have a 125 with that exact same Chinese Mikuni 22mm oval bore carb. It works good with that stock setup. I have no clue why it would be idleing high.... unless the tank or something is binding the throttle cable not letting it return to seat.

the throttle valve is seating well, if it was only that i wouldnt had asked help. I tried everything possible, nothings work, the idle dont want to get down, nothing to do. If someone have a clue let me know, for now this carb is real junk for 100$, dont worth 1$ so dont buy mikuni carb on ebay. My chinese carb is working fine and the real mikuni doesnt work, LOL. |

I have the same problem. After installing a 22mm carb the darn motor will not idle. I spins at 5000 RPM. I have removed the cable to see it that a problem and nothing changed. Interestingly I can put my hand over the carb mouth and get a nice idle. |
