Mikuni VM26 on a Iron Jug Lifan 140cc?

I have a Lifan 140cc Lifan thats giving me fits.
The engine is a stock Iron Jug 140cc with a oil cooler and is shoe horned into a Lifan Trail 70 Clone.

It seems the choice of carb to use is the Real Mikuni VM26. The Bike is street ridden 95% if the time.

If I were to get one of these carbs how would I need to set if up for street use? Is there any specific bikes that had these carbs from the factory? Or should I Buy new?

Sorry for all the questions. I just really want to get this sorted out..

Thanks ahead of time.

a carburetor isn't setup for the type of riding your going to do, it's tuned for your elevation and so that your engine will run correctly without being too lean or too rich.

umm, ur wrong.

i had a lifan 140 that i put an oko26 on and it ran great in supermoto, mx, sx, and trails. its a great carb for the bike on any terrain, you just have to make sure its jetted right.

A mikuni VM26-606 is a good choice for that motor...start your jetting 22.5/180 and work from there.

A pair of these were fitted to stock Yamaha Banshee's.
