| Panda 50 Registered as Moped
Hello, I'm new to this site and new to the chinese clone replica's. I have a few questions about the Panda Fun Rider 50 offered by Oldhonda.com. I would like to talk to current owners of the Panda 50 that have experience with them because with gas at $4 a gallon, I would like a good commute scoot/off road bike.
-Is the Panda 50 registerable as a Moped, with just the Moped sticker (No plate, no insurance)? I live in Michigan, if there are any Michigan owners who could preferably answer the question.
-How durable is the Panda, engine wise (being a chinese clone)?
I ride a Honda 500 (which I plan on keeping) which is about as fuel efficient as my car is (35 mpg). If I bought the panda I would DEFINETLY upgrade the motor to a 100cc or 110cc (which is part of the reason I want the panda, being that bigger engines are available) but could still hopefully be registered as a moped with the bigger engine in it.
If anyone could answer my two questions, I would really appreciate it.
