| Pitbike recommendations
I am looking for a nice pitbike for less than $2000.00. I have looked at Thumper, Sikk, PitsterPro, Orion, and Falcon. Any opinions? I am not looking to race, just have fun on a track. The Falcon 138 is my pick as it stands now but I am open to suggestions. I am from Columbus, Ohio. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!!! |

are you looking for a crf50 based pitbike or a mid size/klx size bike?

I live in Columbus, Ohio, which doesn't have a PitsterPro dealership within 300miles. Who would you recommend I purchase it from to have it shipped? Thanks!! CTFire70 |

just a standard 125cc pitbike to ride some trails and mini dirt tracks. I am not a racer and don't plan on being one. Just want to have fun on the weekends with my kids.

x4, just because it is a race bike doesnt mean you have to race it. X4 is a very reliable bike with a great suspension and a motor that is pretty good right out of the box. If you decide to do engine mods, you can do so at an affordable price. PitsterPro X4 all the way |

Thanks for the input. Everyone I've talked to says the X4. The only thing is the X4 doesn't have an external oil cooler and the Falcon does. Is this a big deal? The reviews gave the Falcon a great review but the people on this Forum, who after reading their responses and posts, really know their stuff. If you know anything about the Falcon 138, please let me know. Thanks again!! Your opinions really help in my decision. CTFire70 | |

no the oil cooler is no big deal, unless you go with big cc and high compression. if so I think you can get a good oil cooler for well under 200$. there is a Pitster dealer in Medina, ohio. next thing I am going to do is add a higher compression piston and cam for about 2hp increase and cost less then 100$ |

My buddy just got a Falcon 138 and its alright but definally has problems being cheaply made.So far he broke the bars, broke the shifter, broke the footpeg mount, ripped air filter, and broke clutch perch. He had the bike for 3 weeks and when I say broke I mean broke in 2 pieces not bent. IMO get a Pitster X4. |

u said u wanna ride around and have fun with ur kids, buy a pitster .wanna spend ur time reinventing the english language in front of ur kids while fixing stupid problems instead of riding, then buy anything else.there isnt a better bike out there than an x4 or x4r,especially for us vets who need a 110 based bike to preserve our knees.

I'm 49 in two months and I ride a built xr50 but it cost a lot more then 2grand. If you just want to have fun by what you want most of the bikes you listed will be fine for play riding.

Take a look at the G2 Moto 125 R4. I have had one for over a month now and i have raced it every weekend taking numerous first places. The bike is very strong with great suspention and it is reliable. Great bike and it could be shipped to your door in 1 to 2 days directly from mike at G2 Moto
