| Pitster X2 rear tire replacement questions
My rear stock tire is showing quite a bit of abuse now. I was thinking of putting a 3.50x10 on the rear instead of the 3.00x10 that it came with. My questions are as followed: 1. can the 3.50x10 fit on the rim? 2. will I have any rubbing issues with the swingarm? 3. how will this larger tire affect the handling characteristics? 4. would you guys recommend staying with the stock tire size? 5. will the larger tire reduce the squirrelliness? 6. being that I ride mostly woods and hard packed dirt/clay......would you guys recommend a particular brand/model? |

are you really going to spend like $80 just on that tire? you are talking about the xtreme pit pro 3.5-10 right? it should def. fit because I actually have a 12inch rear on my x2, so you're good there. |

2.75x10 Shinko is the way to go, great in all conditions, cheap, and last forever. Squirlyness is what makes mini's so much fun! |

i would go with somthing like a millville or a starcross rear 2.75. theyre cheaper and good all around tires, the 3.5 is just wayy to much money, and the shinko the knobs are too close together for wet/ loose conditions

yeah i know the shinkos are cheap but theyre not a good all around tire. the 3.5 you wont even notice the size difference. |

| Re: Pitster X2 rear tire replacement questions noooooooo!!! millivilles are total crap! they suck to mount and they don't last for sh!t.... believe me, I've had them on my bike stick with the innova 3-10 you'll be happier you did.... and its only $25 from pitster. In my opinion it is the best and closest thing to the xtreme 3.5-10, which really is an awesome tire (but its not worth the $80, no pit bike tire is). also, I would advise putting a rim lock on the rear wheel.... unless you already do. |
