My Mood: | PP155Z broken kick starter shaft
just got this email, kick starter shaft broke clean off. this is a completely stock pitster pro lxr with MAYBE 2hrs of ride time and at the MOST has been started 2 dozen times for tuning and such. i have first hand knowledge of the bike and rider. nothing EVER get abused, the bike started 1st or 2nd kick at all times! it was very easy to start. i know that there are always a few bad parts that slip through, but damn these 155 are kinda scary!!! |

Thats why I run the PP decomp to take the stress off the kicker and the kicker gears.

I have seen this failure on every engine, Lifan, YX, one ather z, loncin, etc, one advantage is , Pitster will take care of the parts through their warranty.

I have only seen 5 of these engines and all had broken bottom ends this is a new failure to me the TB decomp might be a cheap solution to this type of failure good luck

well the TB solution is $115 chainsaw decomp plus the cost of a V2 head..so around $450 isn't a cheap solution... |

The TB Decomp can be installed in any two valve 110 style head for $115 this would be my choice but to each there own. Anything that would help these flawed 155z engines I am sure will be appreciated

I knew it was possible but did not see that option available on the site. You still have to pay shipping charges to get it there and hope the turn around time is short. I know the PP decomp works and it is a simple bolt on piece. |

im leaning more and more into taking my V2 off and throwing the dam 155z thing in the trash can. if this was my motor i would have pulled off my top end and taking my big sledge hammer to it!! seems like 1 in 4 or 1 in 5 are crap. i mean they are china but ****. |

The best thing Pitster ever did was make KLX engine mounts for their LXR. I have ridden my K-LXR (at my local mx track) at least 10-15 times this season without one single problem! The engine runs flawless (155 stroker V2) and the chassis has held up great with just routine maintiance and cleanings. I tried the China motor route, and several different versions, with my old X4 and had nothing but problems with gearboxs, and clutches, and ignitions, and false neutrals, and.............. I'm sooooooooooo glad I made the switch. Now I get to ride more than I wrench! |

Have you had issues with your 155? The KLX option is a dang good way to go if you are patient for the deals. |
