Sachs Madass Custom

I picked this Madass up a little while ago and hated the seating position. So, I dropped the bike 5" and it evened things out. I removed the spring and replaced it with a solid bar. Chopped and welded up a custom muffler and mated it with a stainless pitster header.

TB88 kit with race head. Just waiting on a 39T sprocket and will gear up for 15/39 and this will be a nice little scoot for local errands.

Re: Sachs Madass Custom

What do you think of that 150 Lifan you got in there? I've been toying around with the idea of putting a GPX192V2 in mine, but I need to sort out the rear suspension first. I'm also going to drop the front end about 1 inch by raising the forks in the trees to even it out.

Before you chop up your seat, moto-scoot out of wisconsin is going to be selling seats that will bolt on and drop the position 1.5".

What sprocket combo you running?

Some aftermarket madass exhaust that swepted under the footpeg. After I slammed it, it was dragging on the ground, so I chopped it and rewelded it and this is what I came up with.

That one will work...its just not hooked up right now. Waiting on a sprocket. Didn't want to bolt it all back together until i had the sprocket in hand.

Re: Sachs Madass Custom

I got the 16 39 set up in and with the lifan150 with head work dun i can do around 70-75mph i know about the seats but youll under stand what im doing with the seat when i show it to you its hard to try to type out what its going to look like ass for the the 192cc that's the motor i am going to put in mine the 150 is great but i want more power tbolt has a after market rear shock for it and in the fron shocks just pull the tops off throw in a piece of pvc and it will help out but I would just replace them with new forks if you can is this the reason you wanted 7" shock for? and just from what i have read from other with 88cc kit is that its a waist of time if you dont put the 192 in @ least do the Lifan150cc i all so have the new parona 150 in my motard and to me it feels like the YX has more power all so if you do a motor swap you will need the 3 phase satar or rewire the whole bike man i can on and on but that's all for now

Re: Sachs Madass Custom

I like the looks but after i have sat on one i concluded that I do not like the riding position. I want to have a tank between my legs. (also one of the reasons why i do not own a CT/dax)

ya, I didn't really think about the no tank thing. Don't think I'd dig that either.

Re: Sachs Madass Custom

Wow, Hardtail madass? That can't be fun at the speeds capable of those things with 150cc+.
We have a madass here with a Fast Trails Performance kit that does over 75mph with a YX172cc 4 valve, and I can't imagine riding it with no rear shock! You must be brave or have really smooth roads!
Nice bike though! We have had great success with the Lifan 150's in those bikes. Very streetable combonation with the low first gear mated to a 16/39 sprocket set up.

Re: Sachs Madass Custom

I have it buttoned up now with a 15/39 sprocket combo and it pulls to 52mph meaning we're only going about 7000-7500 rpm in top gear...so my gearing is too tall for that TB88 kit.

I'm going to put a 14 front sprocket on it and leave it like that. At 50mph it is not bad with no shock...but it would be crazy at 70 i'm sure. Im going to leave it 14/39 for a while and once my wife gets accustomed, we can think of a bigger motor. This one will do just fine as is for now.
