SSR125 B2 Drops out of gear??

have a 2006 B2 that falls into neutral all the time. I have searched this board to see if it's common and could not find anything? A shop told me it sounds like a bent shift fork?? Any ideas, I have sold the bike to a neighbor kid and I want to make it right for him.

I think that would be a good starting point, a worn or bent fork would give you problems as you described.
