Re: sunl

SunL has a reputation for horrendous customer service. I would stay far, far away from them.

Re: sunl

Another big problem that they have is an almost none existent parts support system for their product.

Like you said look for an inexpensive CRF50 or a better Import brand bike.

yea i was afraid of that, all these imports say they are the same as honda but for some reason i doubt all of them are...i like the ability to break something and then go 5 minutes from my house and get the part rather than wait forever ordering off the internet and hoping it would work.

i was just looking into some imports in case i cant get a honda.

Re: sunl

There are some very good imports out there. OGM, Pitster, SSR to name a few. SunL just isn't one of them.

You are right. Not all the parts on the imports bikes are Honda compatible and you can not run down to the local Honda dealer to get everything you need. But, then again unless you plan on keeping the CRF50 completely stock, a lot of the after market parts are not available at the local dealer either. Most of it would be mail order, same as some of the parts for the import bikes.

im not gonna go too crazy with it, maybe a small big bore kit like an 82 or something...not really wanting to race it. my honda dealer can get almost everything im wanting for it. my biggest thing i have against imports are most of them are stretched out and i want a short rear end and i dont want it to be any taller than a stock crf......its hard to say what ill end up doing, i dont have any cash right now anyway...i need to lay off working on my truck for a while, so i can go ahead and get my 50.

Re: sunl

i rode one of their scooters once, not a single bolt was tight on it. it literally had bolts flying off! plus the rim bent and the chain flew off and the sprokets got torn to shreads. all in one ride too!
