| throttle help
hi i have a crf50 frame with a brand new 86cc engine, i bought a 1/4 turn throttle for it and i was wondering if someone could take a look at this pic. my question should the throttle valve be sitting as high as it is? the pic is kinda bad. but the throttle vale is black if you can see that....thats how it sits when throttle isnt twisted... |

try taking it out and turning it 180 degrees. there should be a groove on one side and a slit on the other.. the groove goes all the way down the slide and shout line up with an alignment tab on the inside of the carb. the slit lines up with the idle screw inside the carb. when they are switched (or when the slides turned wrong) the tab holds the slide up.
