| compatibility between ttr50 and....?
So i newly acquired an 06 ttr50 and was wondering good places to get parts. What were the best... Who had some.... Do any parts interchange with a crf..... And anything else i should know about this bike.... Is the kickstart conversion good? The electric start is super heavy..! Last edited by 85atc70; 06-08-2009 at 07:36 PM. |

There is a kick start kit for it but it is way expensive. There around 350-400. It only saves a couple of pounds. I don't think it's worth it for the price but that's my opinion. I have the gytr exhaust with the jet kit and it made quite a big difference. I also have a clamp on k&n.

what size is your filter? Do these things have any bottom end? What pipe? Is the k&n better then the gytr foam filter? This bike is more for top end, but no wheelies! Back to the crf haha What should i check on the bike? |

I can't remember the part number for the air filter but it is the same size as the one used on the crf. Just look on ebay. I got mine for like 24 bucks for a brand new one. I have the gytr and it made a good difference from stock. My cousin has a crf and I dust him. There are quite a few different exhausts that you can get for the ttr. Just depends on what brand you like.

ill go gytr just cuz i can... But what exhaust will give the best bottom end? I ordered the gytr graphics and i got some blue rims on the way. Just need a bigger main jet, pipe, bars and filter. It will be ready. How hard is it to get the ttr90 forks on..? |

The gytr exhaust gave me a pretty good bottom end compared to stock. I haven't tried to put the ttr90 forks on. I just put stiffer springs on the front and back until I can get a different shock and forks. I would get the gytr jet kit. I got mine off of ebay for about 30 bucks, it comes with the main jets and a different needle. The stock needle isn't adjustable. And for bars I am pretty sure the triple clamp for the crf is the same as the ttr. I would look in the crf parts section and pick up some stuff from there.

Ya I can wheelie the way it is. I think it comes with 4 main jets and the needle.

I have gytr exhaust, k&n filter, gytr jet kit, gytr skid plate, gytr chain guide, gytr timing cover, gytr tappet covers, gytr tall bar kit, gytr stiffer springs for front and back, and I just put some new starcross tires on it. Here is a picture minus the tires. I just put them on today. It also doesn't have the gytr stuff on the motor. These pictures were taken a while ago. ![]() |

I got it from the local bike shop. They have a closeout closet and that's where I got all the gytr stuff from. The exhaust was normally 270 and I got it for 120. I got about 650 bucks worth of gytr stuff for about 230 dollars. Everything was at least half off. And they were running a sale where there was no sales tax. So it was a great deal.

I think you can put a crf exhaust on but you have to do some modifying. I would just get a ttr exhaust. It looks a lot better with the new tires. The stock ones are ugly.

Ya I still have the e-start. The kicker is to expensive for me to justify getting one. I would rather put a big bore kit or something else on it for more power.

Ya it made a pretty good difference. I would get the jet kit to. The needle that comes with it is adjustable and the stock one isn't.

Right on. I think the 2 brothers exhaust are pretty good to, as well as the yoshimura. Just preference on what brand you like. I wanted to gytr mine out that's why I went with that one. I need to order a new backfender, when I do it will be getting some new graphics. I found some pretty nice One industries DC graphics with a seat cover for 65 bucks on ebay.
