| How do you install training wheels
I bought an 06 TTR 50 and it came with a set of moose training wheels. The guy said that the bolts currently in the bike were the ones for the wheels and I have no reason not to believe him. Problem is I cant figure out how to mount the wheels. Anyone have a link to instructions or anything? Ive tried flipping them and etc but the bolts dont seem long enough in the rear two holes.

Well I figured it out. The parts he gave to connect the wheels were for a PW 50. So now I have to go buy another set of training wheels. Dealer quoted 150.00.

You can get training wheels for the ttr50 off of ebay for 35 bucks. Some guy custom makes them. They look pretty nice. I was thinking about getting a set so my 5 year old can ride it.

I recommend Wheels for Tots, they mount to the foot peg mount and are very stable. My boy just took his off. They are more expensive, but they are the best!

Here's a link to the ones that I am talking about. They mount to the frame and seem pretty sturdy. YAMAHA TTR50 MOTORCYCLE TRAINING WHEELS TTR 50 R 50 :eBay Motors (item 190320039987 end time Jul-14-09 13:03:09 PDT) |
