Hello everyone! I found this site in search of information and I hope that someone can help me. I just bought (4) 08 yamaha ttr-50's. The plan is to mod them up and have a fun little pitbike that we will race around our parking lot at work. Now that I have purchased the bikes I am ready to start buying the proper parts to make these things great. I want to build 4 equal bikes that will be tough enough to run for along time. Here is the list of items that I would like to get for the bikes and would like everyones input on which is best. 1. Exhaust: Would like FMF or TBR. I would like the 4.1 fmf but am told it will not fit the 08 ttr-50. 2. Extended swingarm: BBR or TBR ? 3. Raised bar kit: again BBR or TBR ? 4. Suspension: front forks and rear shock????? 5. raised seat: BBR or TBR? Any help would be much appreciated as I am just getting into all of this. The bikes will be used once or twice a week by 6' 200 lbs guys on a paved parking lot with a small dirt section (supermoto style). |

and hopefully you realize that what you are doin the money won't come back to you when you try and sell them also alot of money goes into one bike much less 4 so be prepared to flush it away lol |

Thanks for that link I will check it out! And yes I know allot of money is going to go into these 4 bikes. Each guy at work is pitching in around 2k to get started...they just do not have the time to research or build the bikes! and I guess I am the one in charge of this...not that I mind, it should be allot of fun! I just need some advice on what stuff to get... I know 2k wont get me everything I want but it is a start right? |

yea that should be a good start. First things I would put money toward is tall bars and suspension. Do the motor work later. You want to be able to ride it comfortably first.

Yes, the first thing I wan to do is get a set of tall bars and some better suspension. Ther are a few options out there and I really don't know what would be best for my situation. Just from the research I have done it seems like the BBR front suspension kit is the way to go and possibly an ishock for the rear but like I said I really don't know what would work best... All of the people riding the bikes are around 6' and around 185-200 lbs |
