Re: ttr 50 wont idle

you probably have to adjust the idle screw and the air-fuel screw start the bike and turn the idle screw untill it will stay idle no matter how bad it does idle, then turn the air-fuel screw untill you get the highest idle and smoothest idle, then turn the idle screw back down till it idles normal. If that doesnt work then i would try going up or down with the pilot but it might just be your air-fuel screw is off it should be about 1 1/2 turns out from the seat when you get it to idle best if not mess with your pilot. If you dont know where you air-fuel screw is just look it up on google for your carb

Re: ttr 50 wont idle

i tryed all diferent size jets 72.5 seems to work best .the oring was pinched on the air fuel screw and the threds were messed up so i just picked up a new air screw kit and they gave me a bigger pilot jet to try

Re: ttr 50 wont idle

im not sure on what it could be, but i had a similar problem with a ttr50 and z50, i played with the airbox (which you dont have) but i also played with the air and idol scre and now it runs fine.
it took a while to get the screws in the right position though

Re: ttr 50 wont idle

Just adjust the idle and fuel/air screws till you get it right. I had this same problem with a ttr90 and we just re jetted it because it was too lean and adjusted the idle.
