| ttr50 with 90 cylender
sooo i know this has been discused a million times but what was the problem with the 90 top end on the 50? i think it was that the wrist pin for the crank arm was a 13mm for the 90 and the 50 is a 12mm? is there anyway to fix this yet. could i take a 90 topend and bore the cylender fit the powroll piston in there and not even stroke it? what would that be in cc's? or if i had to stroke it would that work???? |

hey i know the answer, you can use teh 90 head and cylinder and the gytr piston and rings ect. So the 90 cylinder is the same stock bore as the gytr piston is. I dont think powroll sells just their pistons either, you could try to contact kitaco and buy one fo theirs and bore the 90 cylinder to fit it, the problem with the 90 head is you will have less compression with it, but there are ways to fix that too. But for a basic 84cc kit, get the gytr piston, 90 cylinder, and 90 cam. I am doing some research on this and i will be placing my order for my piston soon, just have to find it, and then i am going to see if it has to omuch ocmpression with the stock head. I will keep you informed... Ben |

everything works except the piston....the pin is too big or small one cant remember.....and the 90 has a longer stroke than the 50 so in turn if you put an "89" ttr-90 cylinder on there it would end up making about 84cc with the shorter stroke....plus if you did go with the 90 piston (if you made it fit somehow) you would lose a lot of compression...my moms shops parts manager (long name haha) is trying to convince gytr to sell just parts so in case someone rebuilds there bbk they dont have to buy a new one....if he gets them to do it i might be able to get the piston part number i dont know for sure...... I know you prolly dont want to wait but the last time I e-mailed powroll they said that they would have a piston and cam kit that has a 50mm piston somtime soon. So the deal is, order gytr piston now and have a 84cc bore kit, or wait on powroll and have a 95cc bore kit. I already have a gytr piston on order but they dont even have any of them in the U.S. warehouses. So if that piston dont get here prety quick im cancelling the order and waiting on powroll.

powroll kit would be just a bore up kit i think. I called the dealer today and they are going to call yamaha corp. and find out if they can get it, i hope if they can get it, they can get it soon... lol if not idk....i am going to shoot a few e-mails more. I really want a bbk soon, so if it all fails i will get a kitaco kit, and a powroll stroker crank for it lol Ben |

1) what would it be with a kitaco kit and a powroll stroker in cc's? 2) would the Future powroll kit (if it even comes out) be a 88? it would also be sweet if it dident cost a arm and a leg for powroll stuff even though its quality its still really overpriced. |

yeah powroll is expensive but you pay for quality, but i think the powroll kit is a 95, and as for the kitaco with a stroker i think its like 97 or somthing stupid like that lol Ben |

another q by the looks of it powroll strokes the crank even more for the 111 kit than the 93 stroke service. is this right? |

so what r the engine options for now 1) 93or4cc's gytr bore kit with or without stroked crank from powroll 2) powroll 111cc (way way way to much$) 3) 84cc 90 cylender, gytr piston & rings, 90 cam 4) 88cc kitaco bbk with or without stroked crank from powroll what about 90 cylender and cam bored with kitaco piston and stroked crank and if powroll would sell there piston for the 111cc seprate (which i dont get why they wont???) you cold u take the 90 cylender bore it for the 111 kit piston, the 111 kit stroked crank, ttr90 cam. or would u need the 90 head for that?? |

can you get just a kitaco piston and rings? if so that seems like the thing to do because the gytr stuff is taking forever and there is no telling how long it will take powroll to get their kit out.

yeah i am going to e-mail them, and call them later, becasue if i can get their piston and rins, i can bore the 90 cylinder to the 88 from the 84 that it is... deffenetly do-able.... Ben |

well i found on kitacos site it says you need the kick start kit to run the inner rotor kit....so that means i need to buy a kicker kit but i need to find one for like $300 lol
