| Anyone know that Service Honda is building a CRF150R/XR100 Conversion?
I spoke to Service Honda about a CRF150R/150F Conversion, and I learned that they are already doing a 150R with a CRF/XR100 that you can buy as a new bike from them. I'm waiting on some pics of it-- it seems like it would be awesome! Anyone seen this bike before? --L*64

Actually the 150R motor in the 150R chassis would be pretty fun too, but it's not allowed in the pit bike races.... --L*64

After reading a post from "ZZips"? (in "Setntrends" conversion thread). About AJ building a few 150r/xr100 conversion bikes, over at TT a few months ago, I start searching, and came up empty. I also didn't SEE any mention of this bike on the 500 forums. He usually posts his personal projects and future SH bikes on 500riders site. No matter what color, or size, the machine is.... I would love to see both of them, as well. In addition to SH's line up. He recently mentioned a SH CR 125 is in the works. Similar to the SH CR 250. 250f chassis with older, Hot, late 90's CR125 engine. |

Its true. AJ and I are friends and he has built a conversion for me from a CR85 and then promptly went to work on building his own with a 150R. His has a Kitaco 145 SE kit and inner rotor and uses the 150R exhaust. Riding it back to back with my daughters 150R and believe it or not they are about equal with the XR having much broader power. We have a local hare scramble and mx series we race the conversions at and get about 20-30 guys on air cooled 150cc or less bikes. I will see if I can get some pictures for you. Until then here are some pictures of my sons 2001 CR80 we whipped up last week with modern bike plastics/tank. Wasn`t much involved but moving a few mounting tabs. ![]() Ever seen a cleaner looking 2001? I have a total of $275.00 into this bike. |

The CR80 looks good. I like the 150R fender alot better than the one that comes on it. You must mean that you rode the Conversion back to back with a 150F (the "R" hauls ass!). I'm very interested in getting one of these bikes, and I've been waiting for some pics. I'd probably go with a Takegawa 124 setup and call it a day. If you could get me some pics-- I'd be thrilled. Thanks. --L*64 |

FYI. Takegawa know has a 120cc 58mm kit (case boring required) 130cc with the stroker crank. 125/136cc SCUT's and a Twin Spark Stage 3 Superhead.

Nope I meant the 150R. I`m telling ya that Kitaco 145 motor is amazing. Although it does break kickstart gears and possibly have other reliability issues, it is fast.

crf150r chassis with a crf100f motor. I just want to know the price of the bike complete, shipped to my door. So I can start selling blood and plasma to pay for it. Or is anyone has a cr80/85 chassis setup for a crf100f or crf150f motors let me know how much. Last edited by pookiebear; 09-08-2009 at 09:46 AM. |

Sounds awesome! I've seen a lot of frankenbikes here with CR80/85's with XR engines.

Also T Bolt USA ill have to go with 98 unless my brother cr125 has a 97 in it. IT sounds rediculous when he is on it. Back a few years ago he would tear every other 125 apart. I still personally think who ever had it before him did something to the motor cuz it rips. |

Yeah! I'd rather have it be reliable, and a bit slower-- than fast as heck and a grenade. It's no fun to be dropping coin left and right instead of riding. I also talked to AJ about a 150F powered 150R. I'd rather run the 150F with a high comp piston, and a cam, then call it a build, than working with an XR100 motor. The 100 motor is probably a bit lighter maybe though. Pookie-- I believe if you call SH, they build the bike as "new" bike for you for about $4800. That's with a new motor from Honda. I believe you can send them your frame and airbox to be modded, then get it together yourself for less money. You have to call and talk to them about it. AJ is theperson who knows the most about this, as he built one for himself. If you get him on the phone, get some pics of this thing! --L*64 |

Yeah, the 100 is reliable, and a lot lighter than the 150. A lot smaller, too, and requires less frame hacking. Won't make the power, when both are modded, though. And weight is less a factor, when my incredible spring-compressing powers are factored in

Cool! ^^^^ Quote:
Didn't see pricing for the Head alone. The 136 SCUT kit is about $1300. The Hyper CDI is the same as the 50's twinspark at $60. TS SH stage 3 is aviable for all the 100 BBK'sthat Takegawa offers 115,120, bb, including the 124,130 stroker kits, as well as the 125, and 136 SCUT. 20HP! ![]() Bling Bling CHAAAAA CHA! | |
