| More questions.
I doing the kx100 fork conversion right now and the KX has the big wheel front wheel on it. I would like to still run my 80 wheels and im wondering what I should do for the front wheel? What wheel should I get to still run the KX disk brake? Also I have a xr80 swingarm on there right now but I also have the 100 swingarm laying around too. Which swingarm would be better for tight track riding? Is there anyway I can run disk rear brakes? What chain size should I run? Sprocket combo? (Tight track riding) |

I would stay with the 100 swingarm. Maybe you could get a cr85 swingarm, then you could run the cr85 rear wheel and disc brake setup.

Does the swingarm bolt right up? What is needed for this to work? What shock/linkage would I use?

The XR 100 and 80 swing arms and linkages will interchange. The 100 swinger is 1" longer. The CR 85 swinger Isn't even close to bolt on a XR 100. A better choice is the narrower KX 85 swinger It still will require some serious fab work for fitment, major work for the linkage and upper shock mounts. I see were your go'n with these threads... IMHO you may want to consider building a CR/XR conversion. CR 80/85 rollers can be had in $400-600 rang. |

I have a complete 00 kx100. I really don't want to do a conversion. I'm actually not spending a whole lot of money as it is and a conversion is going to take a lot of time and $ trying to find another chassis. I've already looked at trying to put the KX swingarm on and its about an inch wider than the xr. I prolly won't mess with it unless I feel like doing it later on down the road. I could prolly get it to fit but the linkage/shock is where I would have problems. I was really just more curious to which swingarm is better for tight mx tracks. The xr80 or 100? |

Will xr80 sprockets work on a xr100? I would like to run a 420 chain but i'm having a hard time finding 420 sprockets.

| Re: More questions. SPROCKET SPECIALISTS-Sprockets for all makes of bikes. they fab what you want, go for a 420 chain, less weight and will do with the power you have. i recommend also a bbr swingarm, to level the bike and a 19" wheel. the 17" from a kx85 is to nervous for me. this is mine xr100 with kx85 forks raced on a local track in belgium ![]() ![]() |
