| TB132 BBK problem
I have maybe 5-7 hours on my 132 BBK and ths past weekend it has became noticably easier to kickstart like it has lost compression. It also has started to smoke blue a little bit and it is burning oil. I know these are signs of the piston rings wearing out but I dont see how after I just put it together less than a month ago. I change the oil often and I haven't done anything wrong that I can think of. I guess I will just have to tear it own and take a look myself. Is anyone elses wearing out after this low of hours?

I believe it was assembled right. But mistakes can happen. How many hours are some of you guys getting out of your 132bbks?

This isn't uncommon, reported from several kit owners on the other MX sites. Blown or leaking head gaskets, and/or warped cylinder are the culprits. Disassemble and inspect. |

Would I be better off going with a different kit? How do you like your BBR 120?

I have put 5 hare scrambles and countless track hours on mine. Sure it smokes a bit, but it still runs great. I would buy another TB kit without hesitation.

Is yours much harder to kick over than a stock xr100? When I first installed it it seemed much harder to kick over than now. It still feels like it has more compression than my stock xr100 but its easier to kick over than before. It's not really burning much oil or smoking a whole lot but it still had me concerned. It still runs great and doesn't feel like it has lost power.

when you pull your piston out you will find scoring at four spots on the piston, rings will be toast in those four spots and head gasket will be letting oil burn by. i was told some earlier kits are the ones with the scoring issue, seems all have the head gasket issue unless copper spray or equivelant applied.
