| xr 80 crank rod brearings
i bought an 04 crf 80 cheap for the cdi for my 89 xr 100. worked out great. got the new plasticks just had to swap motor and make my own steped key. now i have an 80 engine top end looks good but the rod bearing on the crank is frose. guy i bought it from told his son to wash the bike. i gues the kid stuck the hose down the tail pipe. water poured out the pipe when i took it off. all other bearings in bottom end feel smooth. wats the options for a crank rebuild or replace or sell for parts?

I wouldn't be surprised to see more damage inside. I likely have a good used crank.

sounds like i need to split the case and look around before i go to far, but how much would a used crank cost. if all looks good it would be nice to have a spare motor. the oil did not look real milky so i am hoping every thing else looks good. If not oh well i still got a great deal the motor is just a bonus and the head looks great.
