| xr100 crankcase smoke
I recently got a 1996 xr100r and rebuilt the motor and cleaned the carb. I cleaned the main jet and slow jet, pretty much everything in the carb. Once I got it all put back together we ran it for a little while and now it smokes out of the pipe and from the crankcase breather. It also won't idle good or crank good now where as before it did fine. I tried to adjust the carb the way it said in the clymer book but didn't seem to help. I was wondering if this was a fuel problem or what? Thanks.

Are you saying my rings are bad? I just put new rings in it. I was hoping it was a fuel problem. The oil that drips out of the crankcase breather when I shut it off is thin and smells alittle like gas. Last edited by mtubbs; 09-11-2009 at 05:19 AM. |
