Xr100s: All kinds of questions!

Me and my buddies picked up a non-running 1992 xr100 for $50 off my girlfriends dad. He said "This bike will never run, you will have to part it." I cleaned the carb and the bike started like new (with the addition of some smoke). So we are going through a rebuild.. 54mm bore, cleaning everything out.

Sooo, with the rebuild and some performance modifications my buddies want to make it a street-moto bike.

1.) Street tires.. where can these be purchased, what size for stock rims?

2.) Plastics... the 1992 ones are crappy. Can they be upgraded... not a real big deal. Or are their any graphic kits?

You may want to look in to the requirements to plate a dirt bike in your state, before spending much on street goodies.

Or, you could double your money by selling me the motor, carb, and electrics, and part the rest out on the eBay...

I didnt mean make it street legal. We have no interest in plating it.

I dont think we will be selling it until we've had some fun on it. But i'll keep that in mind.
