My new project is making my buddies 2000 xr80 into a little ripper on a budget, the first thing I have done is removed the air box and put a uni filter on it, now to is 10 times leaner then it was stock so I'm putting a larger jet on it. We are going to get the fmf pipe eventually, but again small budget so the exhaust is going to take a little more saving. One of my bigger questions is will a crf50 carb work, I have done some research and a 22 will work but I don't know if a 24 will be to much carb, the carb on the bike looks just like the one on my 50 but I want to make sure before I buy one. Also is the only real bore kit involve machining the cylinder?
